The following is formal complaint I sent to Extreme Pizza Corporate office: I would like to formally submit a complaint as it pertains to the Southgate, Colorado Springs, CO Extreme Pizza store. Specifically, related to the mismanagement, unprofessional and belligerent attitude, poor communication of local store manager Michael "Boosey." Long story short, a very unprofessional staff member took my $20, single pizza order at 5:15 pm on Sunday 4/26/15; during this phone call this employee failed to take my correct phone number, I had to repeat myself three times (over a single three topping pizza), then before she hung up she forgot to even take my address for delivery (which I reminded her twice during phone call). This staff person also did not inform me that they only take cards and do not take checks. I wrote a hand written document, labed "Complaint: to Manager," about how horrible the service was and provided it to the delivery person when he arrived, 45 minutes later (I live 4 minutes from the store), and as I handed him the check, the delivery person told me that they do not take checks and he apologized and said "Sorry, the girl you talked to on the phone tonight is brand new." The polite delivery guy said to call the store to pay with a debit card. I then tried to call the store twice and got put on hold and then tried again and couldn't get through. Then the delivery guy called the manager himself and the manger appeared verbally annoyed via cell phone towards the delivery staff and said, "hold on let me call you back." At this point, it was pouring down rain, and I told the deliver man to tell the manager to call me when he gets back to the store. At this point, due to all the frustration and egregious behavior and "service" I told the deliver guy, "tell the manager he can call me when he's done and I will pay." I did not feel like talking to a delivery guy's manager on my porch, in the rain, and at this point I was getting very frustrated, so I declined talking to him. I told the delivery guy to tell the manager to call me and I could pay then (not thinking the incompetence went to the level of them not even writing down my phone number correctly). I did hold on to the pizza and expected the manager to call back within minutes, but I received no call. Next thing I know, the police show up at my home and say that the manager reported the incident as a theft. Flabbergasted, I paid the $24 for the pizza and then talked to the manager, Michael, on the phone with the officer present. The manager apparently had my incorrect phone number, did not receive my written complaint that I gave on lined paper to delivery man (with my correct phone number written clearly on it at bottom), and insisted very angrily that he was standing right there when the staff person said they do not take checks (which was a bold face lie as the staff on the phone did not say this and the delivery man clearly stated that the person I talked to was brand new, and it is VERY likely that she simply forgot to tell me they do not take checks). The manager was rude, clearly had poor quality of customer service training, and literally seemed to think that I wanted to steal this pizza, which is almost humorous considering the entire reason I did not pay was that I was not informed I could not use a check, the person who took my order wrote down my phone number incorrect, the manager did not read or look at my complaint I gave to the delivery guy which clearly had my phone number at the bottom for him to call. The manager can look up my address and correct phone number and see that I have ordered numerous times from Extreme Pizza at this location and it doesn't make any sense why I would "steal" a petty $20 single, pizza. However, the manager Michael (last name "Boosay" or something like that) was absolutely indignant, unapologetic, and 100% did not care at all about this customer's concerns or satisfaction. More concerning, is that this individual called the police due the poor communication, lack of training, and poor quality assurance of his staff. I am wondering if this happened to myself, an upstanding and pillar of integrity in my community, how many other customers have had terrible instances of incidents like this. Clearly this store has some problems with training, fundamentals of communication, and it appears that there is a lack of accountability on all levels of staff at this location. It's amazing how if the manager would have apologized, checked his facts (phone number of residence), or admitted that he had not received my formal complaint that delivery person was supposed to hand to him, or simply listened to what this customer was trying to explain what "went wrong" in this trivial pizza transaction, all of this could have been avoided and a police officer did not need to waste 20 minutes of his precious time addressing a miscommunication due to a pizza store's gross negligence.

As I sit here and wait for my pizza I look up and the young kid working here with extremely long hair is making my pizza. His long hair not in a net or pulled back is two inches from pizza. Ti me that is really gross and I will never be back. I don't care how good the pizza is if you can't follow hygiene codes then you shouldn't be in business.

If we lived here, this is the only place we would get pizza. In town for 3 days, we've eaten here twice. Very reasonable prices, super friendly staff and amazing food. I've tried two salads (Caesar and Fresh Tracks - both awesome) and two pizzas (Paia Pie and The Screamin' Tomato). If only Iowa wasn't so far from this place!

Walked in on a Sunday afternoon, the person working the cashier greeted us and was very friendly. We took a few minutes to look at the menu and decided we'd order our pizzas to go. We got our pizzas in about 15 minutes (2 of the biggest sizes) and they were cooked perfectly. There are a lot of interesting variations of pizza here, and as they say "Variety is the spice of life." Everything was great and we couldn't be happier. The reason I knocked off a star is because the pizza is very expensive when compared to other places. We had a certificate from restaurant dot com that cut our prices in half, but like with most pizza places I would only stick to specials or coupons. Our two pizzas and a two liter would have been 50 but altogether it was only about 30 with the coupon. Great place, with a lot of variety and we will be back again!

I have been getting pizza from here since I moved to Colorado especially on Tuesdays when it's buy one get one free. This Tuesday I was charged for both pizzas and they said that they can't give me my money back for the one they charged me for. They did say next time they would honor there deal but why the hell would they expect me to be back when I was charged $40.00 instead of $20.00. I want my &$@$ing money not more $&@$ing pizza some other time. Is this even legal? I guess that is how they treat there military service members with highway robbery! This is UNREAL!!

DONT BUY A RESTAURANT.COM CERTIFICATE FOR HERE! It says $4 for a $10 certificate, min purchase of $15. The manager decided that is has to be min purch of $25! Total ripoff! NO Other restaurant plays it like that. Found out we are the first to leave because of this. Manager makes the employees have to deal with upset customers. The whole reason we use these certificates is so we can test out a new place. Just lost us till they fix their policy.

I went in to pick up a pizza I called in, 30 min wait they said. I get there and some bearded bozo is on the phone presumably with a customer, hangs up. Phone rings again immediately, he says to me, "Let me put this guy on hold..." and then proceeds to do no such thing and take the call... Finally I speak with him and first thing he says is "Huh, I don't remember you calling in. You must have called our North location." I almost went to that location but then double checked my phone, came back in, and had to jog this dude's memory for a few minutes when the light bulb finally went on and he said "Oh, I didn't put your order in. You're welcome to wait for it." Really? Whoever this doofus is, he has no business in customer service, taking down orders, or anything requiring an attention span greater than that of a gnat's. I went to Panino's on 8th instead. I hope the manager reads this and realizes that this buffoon lost him business.

Best pizza in town. I'm a believer that you pay for what you get, and with Extreme Pizza, you get what you pay for. Delicious, fresh toppings. Awesome people running the place - I have gotten to know many of them in my many visits to the restaurant. I can't even eat Domino's, Pizza Hut, or Papa Johns anymore. As far as their delivery service goes, for being run by a limited staff, they do a great job. They estimate 45 minutes for delivery, but don't expect a "30 minutes or it's free" policy. Such an establishment sometimes may take longer, but the majority of the time the servers on the phone make that clear before an order is placed. Totally understandable. Mistakes and disputes, if any, I have found have always been handled fairly. Overall I love this place and find myself coming back time after time. Whether it's for a pepperoni slice on my lunch breaks, or for a Poultry Geist or Baja 1000 - my two favorite signature pizzas. I'd definitely give them a try, and their week night specials are always a plus too. Keep it up, Extreme Pizza.

Terrible service. They delivered the wrong pizza, we're extremely rude when we called to have order fixed. finally agreed to send new pizza providing we gave driver 1st pizza. hour and a half later they delivered 2nd pizza which was completely wrong. We sent both back and manager refused to rectify situation.

I ordered carry-out by phone for my first visit. The cashier was pleasant and gave me coupons and honored my military discount. I tasted my first slice in the car, and by the time I was home I had eaten half the pizza pie. It was simply delicious and I can't wait for my next visit. The sauce tastes fresh andis not over-seasoned. The crust is thin but not cardboard-like. The cheese is perfectly stretchy/melty. The toppings I experienced were great (tomatoes were fresh and mushrooms tasted fine). The pizza was ready when it was supposed to be. I give it a 4 out of 5 because I didn't expect thin crust as a default, but next time I'll see if there is an original crust option.

I was in Colorado Springs on business and decided I would order from Extreme Pizza because they had pretty good reviews on Yelp. I proceeded to place my order on the website. The ordering process was easy and I paid via credit card. The website told me that it would be approximately 45 minutes for the delivery to arrive. Up to that point, I was completely satisfied with Extreme Pizza. Then it all went downhill. At just over an hour of waiting I decided to call the store to inquire about the status of my order. The young woman that answered the phone seemed to think that it was a joke that I was calling and sort of laughingly said "Oh, yeah, we're running behind. I was just getting ready to call you. He should be there any time now." I accepted her response, thanked her and hung up to wait for my order. After one hour and 30 minutes had passed, I again called the store to inquire on the status. The same young woman answered the phone. Again, she seemed to find it rather amusing that I was calling to check on the status of my order that had now surpassed double the time I was quoted for the delivery. At this point I let her know how unacceptable it was for my order to still not have arrived when she assured me during the last phone call that my order was on its way. Her response was something to the effect of "Well what do you want me to do about it, we're really busy?" Needless to say I was not thrilled with her attitude at this point. So I explained that it was not my place to offer suggestions on what she could do for me. Anyhow, at a poor excuse of finally trying to offer up some customer service, she offered to give me 10% off my next order. I explained that I was from out of town and even if I did come back to town I would not be ordering from them again based off my current experience. Frustrated with my experience and over an hour and a half wait now, I let her know that I wanted her to cancel my order. She promptly stated that she could not cancel my order and that the delivery driver would be arriving any second. I let her know that if the driver showed up I would not be accepting the order and I expected a full refund and if she didn't want to cancel my order I would gladly call my credit card company to dispute the charges. I asked to speak to her manager at this point. She pointed out that he was really busy and couldn't talk on the phone but she would ask him what could be done. She put me on hold and returned a short time later to say the order would be canceled and my card refunded. Long story short, I never got to try the pizza, the young woman on the phone did point out that I didn't really want to cancel my order because they have the best pizza in town. Unfortunately I'll never know because of this terrible experience and very poor customer service.

Super fresh pizza, loaded with ingredients, and a nice crisp crust. The girl taking orders at the counter was in no hurry to wait on people, but once the order was placed, the pizza didn't take long. A great option for pizza in the Springs!

Ordered a 40 dollar meal and they gave me a free big ole ball of human hair in my calzone which I was fortunate enough to have discovered while eating that culinary delight, cheese cake was dismal and the salad was wilty... This isn't the first disappointment from them but it is the last ......

Wish I had read the reviews prior to buying a Restaurant.com certificate! Manager won't honor the certificate that clearly states $15 minimum, says the minimum is actually $25 regardless of what the certificate says. Definite rip off- do not go here! Food took forever and was only mediocre after the long wait. This was my first time trying this restaurant and I will not go back! Terrible experience!!!

They are a San Francisco based franchise. They actually have been voted best pizza in San Francisco several times. Great variety if you like to try different things. But to me the standard that you use to measure a pizza restaurant by is their cheese and their pepperoni. They use high quality cheese and have great pepperoni, thus 4 stars.

Friendly staff. We sat at the counter and as I am in the restaurant business was pleased to observe good food handling practices. Was also able to see the thin crusts being made. The thin crust pizza it a bit on the sweet side, vs crusts that have a yeasty flavor. It was not so thin as to be "cracker-like", rather just thick enough provide a good base for the piled high, fresh, fresh, toppings and to make a great meal

It's a very good pie, a little on the $$$ side but a good pie. The concept is good they have 2 locations in the springs. The one up north is much nicer, cleaner, better staff. It's nice they have some good local brews on tap and a good location. The owner is an ass, so if I want to enjoy extreme pizza I will go to the north store.

Pizza was great. Didn't make you feel like a pimply seldom showering teen afterwards since it wasn't too greasy. Also, they've got a great selection of combinations for you to try. Took real fast to order em' too. I'd probly make this my go to place if I lived in ol' Colorado.

Great pizza! I love their Chicken BBQ 8" small pizza. It filled me up and tasted better than pizza from California Pizza Kitchen. I went to the one up north and the staff there is extremely friendly and awesome. I got there at 6:50 and was lucky enough to enjoy $2/pint happy hour.

It doesn't even deserve one star. I walked in and sat down at the bar. Fifteen minutes later I didn't even get a "hello" or even a " fuck you". Any kind of recognition would have been nice. So we left. They have no customer service, and when I called to complain they put me on hold and never answered again.

Service is abominable. We ordered delivery online -- I always love it when a restaurant offers online ordering, because it decreases the chance that they might get my order wrong. Online, it clearly states that average wait time is 45 minutes. Great. The pizzas should arrive around our normal dinner time, but maybe a little late because, you know, sometimes these things take a little longer. I'm a reasonable person. An hour later, I call to check in for an ETA and am assured the pizzas are out for delivery and should be here soon. And hour and a HALF later, I call again and am assured I'm next. They finally do arrive. The restaurant told me to call them when the delivery guy showed up and they'd talk to him and give me a percentage off, so I did. The delivery guy then proceeds to use MY CELL PHONE MINUTES to talk to them about another house he's unable to find, all while my pizzas are sitting there on my stoop and my hungry toddler is waiting not so patiently inside -- because dinner is now 45 minutes late. The pizzas themselves are meh. The crust and sauce are tasteless, and they actually managed to screw up one of our ordered (no spinach on the Pandora's Box). I will NOT be ordering from these guys again.

Awesome pizza choices, healthier options as well that you won't find anywhere. The workers are young but have a good vibe and work attitude.

If there are no customers in the restaurant, and there are four employees 'working', you would assume it wouldn't take 30-40 minutes to get a small pizza. You would be wrong.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Best Pizza I've had in Colorado Springs! They have a wide variety of artisan pizzas and the ingredients are always fresh! They have beer on tap and the location is good. Staff is friendly and service is fast to. Only place I get pizza from these days.

Fast pizza, cheap pizza, good pizza!

Awful crust (under cooked) and store bought taste. Over priced for the quality. A grocery store pizza blows this one away.

Fresh clean and delicious!

Discovered this place completely by accident today. Good pizza, great sandwiches, nice selection of beer. Staff was very friendly and my food was served very quickly. I will certainly come back whenever I'm next in the area.

It was extreme....in a good way. Very tasty pizza! LOVED IT

Friendly staff. We sat at the counter and as I am in the restaurant business was pleased to observe good food handling practices. Was also able to see the thin crusts being made. The thin crust pizza it a bit on the sweet side, vs crusts that have a yeasty flavor. It was not so thin as to be "cracker-like", rather just thick enough provide a good base for the piled high, fresh, fresh, toppings and to make a great meal

by far best pizza in town

I love going on to their website and making my own pizza. I've made a $60 pizza before that made me thought I was crazy. Seriously the only place I get pizza from anymore.

Great pizza with lots of varieties of toppings you could choose from. Atmosphere is also nice.

I'd probly make this my go to place if I lived in ol' Colorado.

love their hawaiian pizza! this may be blasphemous, but i wish they would open in the chicago 'burbs.

I've only visited the place 5 or 6 times since I have lived in COS, but I like their combinations and atmosphere... I recently found out that work with schools and such to sell coupons and donate money for students... Is great to see them investing in those kind of programs...

(5)Norman M.
If there are no customers in the restaurant, and there are four employees 'working', you would assume it wouldn't take 30-40 minutes to get a small pizza. You would be wrong.
